History Porsche 928.

The Porsche 928 was introduced in 1977. It was, and still is, the only 8-cylinder Porsche there is. It was designed for the most important market in the world, the United States. Because strict type approval would include extremely demanding crash tests, which a rear-engined 911 would not pass, the 928 was born as a front engine car. But it had to live up to the 911 Turbo, the 928 had to be a magnificent sportscar with excellent aerodynamics, and exciting character. After the 928, came the 928S,S2,S3,S4,GT, and the last 928GTS which was produced in 1995.
